I have been editing the links section and I have inserted a new link category for Romanian blogs.

Although there are various ways to translate web pages in different languages, I find the most convenient way is to use Google Chrome Translator. It is not perfect, but most translations are quite good. It does not handle colloquialisms very well, but that is to be expected.

Am fost editarea link secţiunea şi am introdus un link nou categorie pentru bloguri de romani.

Deşi există diferite moduri de a traduce pagini web în diferite limbi, găsi cel mai convenabil mod este de a utiliza Google Chrome Traducător. Nu este perfect, dar majoritatea traducerile sunt destul de bine. Nu manipulaţi expressions and colloquialisms foarte bine, dar care este de aşteptat.

Good question. I am slightly surprised that no one else has asked me that.

After I started following Cristi’s blog Simple and Interesting I started following a few other Romanian blogs and found that I was getting more views on my blog from Romanians than from people in the UK. The largest amount of views I get is from the USA and quite frequently the second largest amount is from Romania.

Although my links list is never completely up-to-date, because bloggers come and go, when I was compiling the Romanian category I was surprised how many I was following. I still have more work to do on my other links.

Most of my blog is image based and I think it is important to add text below the images so that people who speak other languages can easily translate the message.

thanx for your elaborated reply, Ronnie! you’re right about adding text below your images: it’s more personal… 🙂

I never check out the amount of views of my blog and I know that some bloggers have chosen the immediate(automatic!) option of “like”, just a few seconds after posts are edited, without reading even the titles… 😀 so, don’t be so surprised for no one else has asked you that… 😉 I easily detected those “traffic hunters”(LOL!) @ my blog last year, I ignore them, and I know who does read me… as for my playground, I did explain why and how here: https://myvirtualplayground.wordpress.com/about/

P.S. my translation below is correct and it may replace the one made by Google Chrome Translator above… 🙂

I know what you mean about “traffic hunters” Mélanie, but I was thinking more about some of the people that I have had regular communication with.

I know that WordPress Stats are not accurate, I have done tests for myself to prove the inaccuracies, but it is not something that has much relevance to me anyway. I am interested in seeing what countries are visiting me though, e.g. visitors from France. 🙂

I did not have any visitors from Russia until I tweaked the SEO.

I have been trying out different language translators; none of them seem to give the same result. I think I will experiment further with that. Alternatively, I suppose I could go into town and see if I can find a Romanian. 🙂

    🙂 translation:

Am editat rubrica de links-uri si am adaugat o noua categorie pentru blogurile românesti. Deși există modalități diverse de a traduce paginile web în diferite limbi, cel mai convenabil mijloc este de a folosi “Google Chrome Translator”. Nu este perfect, dar majoritatea traducerilor sunt destul de bune. Nu se descurca(nu stapâneste) foarte bine expresiile familiare, însa nu-i o surpriza neprevazuta. 🙂

oh, very strange: no Romanian blogger leaves comments at your blog, just automatic “likes”?!… 😉

I know what you mean, but I am content with the “likes”. I do not leave many comments on blogs that I follow.

Sometimes it is because of time constraints. I am doing what I try to avoid, I am trying to follow too many blogs.

When I was explaining the reason for following Romanian blogs, I omitted the reason why I actually like them. That was because I can’t put it into words, there is something different that I like, but I do not what it is, yet.
