- The poor have become poorer and the rich richer thanks to David Cameron and George Osborne’s new austerity policies.
- The most prosperous half of Britain has got wealthier due to Osborne’s reforms, while the poorest have become even poorer.
- Statistics, revealed by independent research by the University of Essex found that the richest half of the country are now 1% to 2% better off, while Britain’s poorest lost 3% of what they would have earned had Cameron and Osborne not changed the law.
- The study, carried out by experts from LSE and Essex University claimed that the effects of Cameron and Osborne’s ‘reforms’ was simply to move money from the poor half of Britain to the more affluent half.
