I have changed the link at the bottom of the page for The Captive Animals’ Protection Society (CAPS) because it is now Freedom for Animals.

Freedom for Animals began as the Captive Animals’ Protection Society in 1957 and is one of the UK’s longest-running charities working to protect animals.

They believe all animals should live free from exploitation, harm and captivity, which is something I very strongly believe in.

The public remains overwhelmingly opposed to wild animal acts, with a high proportion against all animal acts.

A while ago I wrote to Christopher Chope, MP for Christchurch, asking him why he was blocking a bill for a ban on circus animals, but I was told to write to the MP for the constituency that I live in. Aye right!

It is Chope who recently blocked the bill that would make it an offence to take pictures up women’s skirts. His moral fibre could do with some porridge.

Unfortunately domestic animals can still be used to perform, but we have
          made great progress.
