Slowly, one by one, the petals started to fall from you,
But you always had a brave face during times of difficulty.
No one would even realise your end was near as you took it all in your stride,
Your skies were always blue when mine were dark and gloomy.

Now your journey has come to an end and we go our separate ways,
The cycle of life churns on regardless of what we feel, or care about, or do.
Time diminishes pain but leaves good memories intact forever,
I will always remember the flower of the sun that stood tall against the storm.

      Thank you Huguette.

My friend died yesterday and I wanted to dedicate a post in her memory. It also helped release the pressure within me.

    I lost my friend too
    I miss her still
I want to see her again
    Sunshine or rain
    So I whisper in prayer
I want to meet you in my dream.
    I

  4. This is beautiful, Ronnie, and I am so VERY sorry for your loss. I think the one left behind has it tougher but who knows. Yes, the song was definitely worth listening to and brought tears. I totally look up to you in your courage and strength. A big hug, Ellen

Something that started out as a friendship when I was helping Gill recover from major surgery, grew into more than just good friends. Life was going along fine and she was told her surgery had been completely successful. A short while later, she developed a slight pain, then shortly after that she died. Thank you for your kind words Ellen.
