The mainstream media in the UK refer to it as a “cost of living crisis”.
UK energy companies are making £6 million profit an hour with the blessing of the government, who are also raking it in due to the extra VAT profits.
It is not a cost-of-living crisis, it is legalised robbery.
They know people will die this winter due to Fuel Poverty.
It is murderous unquenchable greed.
As long as the shareholders keep receiving increased dividends, that’s the main thing.

Ronnie, I see the same greed here in spades!! Over and over again. Trump made it almost an admirable thing. What can be done. Is it due to capitalism? It is pure, undulterated greed. You are right.

It depends on what a government allows or encourages. The UK government gave the go-ahead for supermarkets to increase their profit margins, even though they were already making plenty of money.
Neoliberalism and extremist libertarianism are at the root of the problem.
It is like medieval times when the Lord of the Manor wanted more from the peasants, their hunger was of no concern. We will be losing the UK Human Rights Act soon. It is going to get a lot worse.
