This is so sad but true. We don’t think what’s in the back … we only see what happens on the stage. But those animals aren’t happy … and they should be free. Because everyone should be happy. Even if it’s an human being or an animal.
The public have a greater awareness nowadays about the cruelty and suffering that captive animals have to endure at the hands of people who exploit them for financial gain. Most of that awareness has been generated online.
Unfortunately there are still people who are deluded into thinking that animals in circuses enjoy performing and that they are well looked after.
I know. I saw the circus many times (advertisements) in my city! There were
a lot of big posters (what a waste of cardboard!!). But I was just once when I was a little girl … and didn’t knew many things about this cruelty. It is so sad this is happing in front of our eyes and we can’t see the reality.

The public have become aware of the cruelty involved in places like SeaWorld, especially since the film Blackfish.
