I’m turned around and lost out here again
Feeling like there’s no way out
And without you no way in
Where are you my friend?

I know how hard it is
To keep from crying out loud
To look up in the sky
And see nothing but clouds

The last thing you said
You know my hope never dies
No matter how dark it was
You always saw the blue skies

Oh, Im sick and tired of yesterday
I think of all the times I chose the worst things
And I threw the best away
What would you say?

You know how hard it is
To keep from crying out loud
To look up in the sky
And see nothing but clouds

The last thing you said
You know my hope never dies
No matter how dark it was
You always saw the blue skies

I just hope this road keeps turning
Till I find a place to end this yearning

Where were you my friend?
You know how hard it is
To keep from crying out loud
To look up in the sky

And see nothing but clouds
The last thing you said
You know my hope never dies
No matter how dark it was

You always saw the blue skies
No matter how dark it was
You always saw the blue skies
No matter how dark it was
You always saw the blue skies

Oh my God, this is an amazing song, poem — and hauntingly sung. I’m going to check out to see if iTunes has it.

I bought the song and one more from his from the album, I also bought: The Rose
I have always loved that song, but I think that Bette Middler doesn’t have a strong enough voice, nor emotional depth to sing it, he does a great rendition, I love it as much as this song.
Would you like me to send you both via email?

Thank you for offering to email the songs to me Genie.

When I read your comment earlier, I listened to “You Always Saw the Blue Skies”, and then I started playing the whole album. When you said you were going to check iTunes for ‘Blue Skies I considered sending it to you, but going by the time you left your message, I assumed that you would already have downloaded it from iTunes.

I love Frankie’s version of “The Rose”, I posted it on my blog a couple of years ago.

When you mentioned iTunes, I was a wee bit intrigued as to why you did not just download it from YouTube. There is a lot of his music on there. If you come across anything you like and you have a problem downloading it, just let me know and I will email it to you.

I can never download anything from YouTube anymore, the new iMac 🖥 disables all the software that I used to download songs and videos with.
It’s the videos that I miss downloading, the songs I don’t mind buying because I do like them in MP4 quality, Except there are some songs that aren’t on iTunes so then I miss being able to download them.

Thanks a million and one for your offer, Ronnie.

My favourite source for downloading music has always been
“Soulseek”. I have been able to get albums from there that are normally hard to obtain from anywhere else.

Do you have the URL for that website, or is it an app?

It is a P2P file sharing network.
