I don’t know what it is like now, but children’s books and TV shows used to depict the three body types: Ectomorph, Endomorph and Mesomorph as cunning, jovial and the hero, or variations of that theme.
A lot of people experience elevated levels of self-consciousness, particularly in the summer. Other people’s attitudes can be hurtful and damaging.

Yeah, summer can be difficult for some people, myself, I just watch Press TV and think about how absurd weteren stereotypes are, they focus on looks (and what’s considered beautiful is not what I think of as beautiful — because the evaluation is based on sham and tinsel) and not on character.
