The iconic Scottish band Runrig, which formed in 1973 in Skye, will be playing their final concert in Stirling next Saturday.

All good things must come to an end.

Hearts of Olden Glory

There’s thunder clouds
Round the hometown bay
As I walk out
In the rain
Through the sepia showers
And the photoflood days

I caught a fleeting glimpse
Of life
And though the water’s
Black as night
The colours of Scotland
Leave you young inside

There must be a place
Under the sun
Where hearts of olden glory
Grow young

There’s a vision
Coming soon
Through the faith
That cleans your wound
Hearts of olden glory
Will be renewed

Down the lens
Where the headlands stand
I feel a healing
Through this land
A cross for a people
Like wind through your hands

There must be a place
Under the sun
Where hearts of olden glory
Grow young

I must be ashamed I haven’t knew about this wonderful band. I will search more about them.
Are you going to their final concert?

if you type Runrig into the search box on my Home Page, you will find some songs listed.

The final concert was only supposed to be next Saturday, but because it was sold out immediately, they added another concert to the previous night.

There was a problem with ticket bots obtaining a large number of tickets and reselling them at hugely inflated prices. That has now been made illegal.

No, I won’t be going to the concert, I have no chance of getting a ticket.

Fans have been asking for a Runrig tartan for years, finally it is going to happen. Runrig are not just a band, they are a Scottish legend.

Today I understood why! All my way to the job and back home I listened Runrig on Spotify. I will be posting a song of them on my blog soon.

Searching on your blog about this band…. made me more ashamed. I even commented on a post… I have short memory! But I might fix it today, because I paid more attention to the band. 🙂

There are two Romanian songs I have been listing to a lot by Andra – “Baietii Si Fetele” and “In Noapte Ma Trezesc”. 🙂

Oh, when Andra was a little girl. Now she has bad songs in my opinion. Soon will be at my city’s days… but I don’t wanna see her singing live. Even if it’s for free. :))

I was listening to Ilinca recently, she was doing a duet with someone else. I did not notice it was her until I read the title properly. “Yasiris feat. Ilinca – Hasta Mañana” 🙂
