To follow on from the Investigatory Powers Act 2016, also known as the Snoopers’ Charter, which allows State authorities to collect information about everything we do and say online, and order private companies to store it, we now have the the more recent Online Safety Bill which is actually for censorship.
It is the UK Government’s intention to scrap the Human Rights Act. Many thousands of sick and disabled people die whilst waiting for benefits to be paid to them. People with illnesses such as Parkinson’s disease and terminal cancer, are forced to look for work.
Jobcentres used to have targets to get people back to work, or on to a course that would lead to employment. That was replaced with job centre staff having targets to sanction people. Somebody could be sanctioned on a whim, and their benefit stopped. That would lead to their housing benefit getting stopped also, and they would become homeless, because they couldn’t pay the rent.
Why are the governments all so horrid? I had no idea the UK government was so awful, too. Evil seems to be spreading. There’s no social conscience, it seems, anywhere, except maybe Canada but I have heard they are racist, too.
After the Second World War the Labour government introduced the welfare state and the National Health Service. The Conservative party have always been hellbent on dismantling the National Health Service. They have always tried to look like they have been helping it, whilst actually doing the opposite. Billions have been getting siphoned off from NHS funds for years. The government has been selling off NHS land, which is not theirs to sell, but they have been selling it anyway.
Unfortunately, the current Labour Party does not represent ordinary people, it is in line with conservative values now. There has always been a class war in this country, the rich continue to get richer whilst everybody else gets poorer. The Tories (Conservatives) have always liked the peasants to know their place. We have a millionaire government that actually votes for poor people to be poorer.
Their craving for wealth and power is insatiable. A lot of politicians have psychopathic tendencies, they have a complete disregard and lack of empathy for suffering. They are intolerant of poor people, “because it’s their own fault.”
The aristocracy in the UK have always hoarded wealth and land as much as they possibly can. Most of it has been stolen in the past, and to this day it continues. They also keep property prices artificially high, and drive down wages wherever possible. The current government is the most corrupt government we have ever had.
The UK and US governments try to maintain the illusion of having morals, it is only an illusion.
You’re right. And the UK has been a terrible example to us. Take care, Ronnie. Try not to have it on your mind all the time. It IS all pervasive though.
Why isn’t this all over the news???

Governments with the aid of mainstream media, only present a version of events that they want people to believe.

Oh, my God! It seems built into the system but, here, in the U.S., if Trump wins again, it will be totally true! We are SO afraid of this election.

It is not going to get any better any time soon.

Not likely it was confirmed, they used Hannibal protocol on October 7 but the world still hears what they make them hear

We always have more chance of hearing lies, than we have of hearing the truth.
