There is a tendency to incorrectly use “England” when referring to “Britain”, by some people in other countries. The British Empire is long gone, and what is supposed to be “a union of equals” between the countries of the United Kingdom, it is far from it.
Scotland has a large abundance of natural resources. On North Sea oil profits alone, England gets 87%, and the rest is divided between Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. There is a long list of disparities.

Let’s hope this will become a reality very soon. I wonder why it’s not obvious for England; what more does it need?

The UK Government at Westminster will fight tooth and nail, to hang on the revenue it gets from Scotland. So will King Charles.
They have already started a dirty tricks campaign against the SNP.
